From October 24 to October 28 I attended the Digital Wine Communications Conference, formerly known as EWBC, but now DWCC. For me this conferences mean several things:
- a chance to meet other people who communicate about wine online;
- the opportunity to visit a wine region I have not yet been too;
- and last but certainly not least a moment in the year to spend time learning and sharing experiences about wine communication.
The DWCC is therefor also a rich treasure trove of stories to tell. In the next few weeks, I plan to give an overview of MY DWCC: of the panels I attended, the wineries I visited and the people I have shared a glass with. I will do so in short newsflashes or in longer articles, sometimes in English, sometimes in Dutch. So come back to Wijnkronieken regularly and join me in an exploration of DWCC2013, the wine region of La Rioja in Spain and the extremely colourful community of close to 300 wine communicators that gathered in Riojaforum in Logroño from October 24 till October 28.
First up will be a short sketch of the wine museum of Dinastia Vivanco, absolutely the best wine museum I have ever been to. Look for it in the next few days.
