Four years ago the historic vineyard ‘Liesenpfennig’ on the grounds of Schloss Schönbrunn was resurrected by the growers’ group WienWein. The autumn of 2012 yielded the first – imperial – harvest. And now one year later, the imperial beverage ‘Liesenpfennig 2012 – Wiener Gemischter Satz is resting comfortably in the bottle. Empress Maria-Theresia would have been overjoyed at the very thought of this multilayered, aromatic elixir. And the best part: From 26 September till 26 October 2013 the 530 bottles will be auctioned. The top bidders will, of course, win the auction. All net proceeds go to SOS Kinderdörfer.
