A short message from Spain: at Montau de Sadurni the harvest is now finished! The parellada, like the xarel.lo, was also harvested by hand, as the vineyards are to young (and vulnerable) to be worked in with machines. Next to the traditional cava grapes, the merlot, cabernet sauvignon and the syrah are in too.
And what is more: my sample bottles have arrived! Two cava’s and a bottle of merlot. I’m looking forward to tasting these wines, who have no importer in the Netherlands as yet.
Ryan and Gabriella from Catavino have already tasted the wines, and it promises to be a good experience.
