The Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair, opening in Angers from 4 to 6 February 2013, will celebrate the 7th Edition of the Wine Blog Trophy. This competition is aimed at the wine community and each year awards oenology bloggers. The theme for this 7th edition is “Loire wines over dinner”, and looks at the “favourite” Loire wines of restaurateurs.

The Opinion Way 2010 survey places Loire wines at the top of all French wines for the quality of their suitability with meals. It is, indeed, this combination which the Wine Blog Trophy is highlighting this year around the theme of “Loire Wines over dinner”.
Oenologist bloggers taking part in this selection will share their best memories of a meal when savored with a Loire wine through a text, photo or video. A panel of experts will select 5 finalists with the help of web user votes. On Monday 4 February at 11am in Angers, at the Loire wine salon, the final will take place live and in public at the Media Corner. The 5 finalists will be accompanied by a sommelier of their choice during the taste trials.
This is a way of promoting this profession which is celebrating the 25th Competition for the best Pupil Sommelier in Loire Wines at the Salon.
