Het officiële persbericht volgt hieronder.
“This year’s Loire Wine Blog Trophy unveiled a brand new concept, the ‘Mystery Bottles’. The competition was based on sending two completely anonymous mystery bottles of Loire wine to French and English speaking bloggers who then took the famous blind tasting test. The winners of the Trophy were two French bloggers, Tomy Dupieux (blog: Whisky Wine’N’Beer) and Fabien Lainé (blog: Vin Deling).
The 34 competing bloggers had to guess the appellation and vintage of two wines tasted during a blind test. The Wine Blog Trophy prize went to the person who first gave the correct answer online. None of the competitors got both answers right, but Tomy Dupieux and Fabien Lainé both found the correct appellation and were declared are the prize winners of 2015!
The two appellations of the Mystery Bottles competition were Bourgueil (cuvée du Domaine des Ouches, vintage 2010) and Anjou Blanc (cuvée du Domaine Patrick Baudouin, vintage 2010).
The official prize giving ceremony took place at the Loire Valley Wine Trade Fair in Angers, last Wednesday, February 4, with the prize winners, the competition partners and wine makers. The lucky prize winners went home with a Wine Art by EuroCave, two wonderful bottles of Loire wine and an offer by Le Point, official partner of the Wine Blog Trophy, to host the winners’ blogs on its website.
Since 2007, the Wine Blog Trophy has rewarded the very best in wine blogs. Today there are 400 listed French speaking blogs making waves on the blogosphere! See the bloggers’ answers at www.wineblogtrophy.com.”
